Woman Hospitalized for Recording Police in Texas (updated)
CFW Carolina Fort Worth- A first amendment auditor and cop watching activist has been hospitalized and detained after a brief 30 second exchange.

On 6/22/2024 Caroline Rodriguez was engaged in her constitutionally protected activity recording law enforcement in the course of their duty while in a public place. Another way to say that is, she was recording the police while they were towing vehicles out of a parking lot. She attempted to find out what was going on by reading the signs that were posted and asking several officers how they knew if someone paid for their parking or not.
Once Miss Rodriguez acknowledged Officer Krueger by saying, “Hi Officer Krueger” he told her to go across the street. When she inquired as to why she had to go across the street, he grabbed her, slammed her on the concrete, busted her head open on the concrete, knocked her out. Her livestream ends with her screen black and you can hear what sounds like snoring.
Lady Justice Liberty Press posted a call with Law Enforcement with an update on her condition, where the Sargent attempts to smooth over the situation saying that Miss Rodriguez “is in good spirits”. Later in the call, Sargent Skaggs asks the caller if they’re connected to the protest outside his building. They were not.
With the First Amendment Auditing community growing larger everyday it has remained decentralized and organic. Through that community there was a response to the abuse of authority, rights violations, and violence by an officer who has a history of violence and was fired for being violent before filing a lawsuit to get his job back.
